Background: Kama Raja is a herbal
supplement derived from India's Ayurvedic Medicine
(also called
Ayurveda). Ayurvedic Medicine is recognized as a Complementary
and Alternative Medicine by the National Institutes of Health in the
United States. It is one of the oldest medical systems (estimated
to have originated 5,000 years ago). Nearly 80% of the population
in India (900 million people)
relies on Ayurveda exclusively or in
conjunction with Western medicine. That's more than the
populations of North America and South America combined!
Common Results Expected: Kama Raja's proprietary
formulation contains 260
natural phytonutrients that exert 502
synergistic activities on your body. Many
of these phytonutrients
are widely recognized for their contribution to Men's Sexual
Health: arginine, ascorbic acid, beta-carotene, beta-sitosterol, boron,
calcium, choline, chromium, cobalt, copper,
curcumin, cystine, ferulic acid, fiber, gingerenone, gingerol,
glutamic acid, iron, lechithin, linoleic acid, lysine, magnesium,
manganese, melatonin, niacin, nickel, oleic acid,
palmitic acid, pantothenic acid, phosphorous, potassium, protodioscin,
quercetin, riboflavin, ruscogenin, rutin, selenium, tannin, thiamin,
tryptophan, withanolide, zinc, and zingerone.
For example:
- Arginine - The
majority of studies using L-arginine to treat Erectile Dysfunction show
positive treatment results (Wu G, Meininger CJ. Arginine nutrition and cardiovascular function. J Nutr 2000;130:2626-2629; Zorgniotti AW,
Lizza EF. Effect of large doses of the nitric oxide precursor,
L-arginine, on erectile dysfunction. Int J Impot Res 1994;6:33-35; Chen
J, Wollman Y, Chernichovsky T, et al. Effect of oral administration of
high-dose nitric oxide donor L-arginine in men with organic erectile
dysfunction: results of a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled
study. BJU Int 1999;83:269-273; Stanislavov R, Nikolova V. Treatment of
erectile dysfunction with pycnogenol and Larginine. J Sex Marital Ther
2003;29:207-213; Klotz T, Mathers MJ, Braun M, et al. Effectiveness of
oral L-arginine in first-line treatment of erectile dysfunction in a
controlled crossover study. Urol Int 1999;63:220-223).
- Protodioscin -
Several studies support the pro-erectile effects of Protodioscin
(Adimoelja A, Adaikan PG. Protodioscin from herbal plant Tribulus
terrestris L. improves male sexual functions possibly via DHEA. Int J
Impot Res 1997;9:S64; Adaikan PG, Gauthaman K, Prasad RN, Ng SC.

the rabbit corpus cavernosum. Ann Acad Med Singapore 2000;29:22-26;
Gauthaman K, Ganesan AP, Prasad RN. Sexual effects of puncturevine
(Tribulus terrestris) extract (protodioscin): an evaluation using a rat
model. J Altern Complement Med 2003;9:257-265).
- Choline and
Pantothenic Acid - Research has concluded that Choline and Pantothenic
Acid (vitamin B5) are used by the body to produce Acetylcholine - the
neurotransmitter that supports sexual response (Fischer LM, daCosta KA,
Kwock L, Stewart PW, Lu TS, Stabler SP, Allen RH, Zeisel SH. Sex and
menopausal status influence human dietary requirements for the nutrient
choline. Am J Clin Nutr. 2007 May;85(5):1275-85. 2007. PMID:17490963;
Blusztajn, J.K. Choline, a vital amine. Science. 1998; volume 281:
pages 794-795; Zeisel, S.H. Choline: an essential nutrient for humans.
Nutrition. 2000; volume 16: pages 669-671; Kohlmeier M, da Costa KA,
Fischer LM, Zeisel SH. Genetic variation of folate-mediated one-carbon
transfer pathway predicts susceptibility to choline deficiency in
humans. Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2005;102(44):16025-16030).

Prescription Information: Kama Raja is a natural
herbal supplement that does NOT require
a doctor's prescription. Kama Raja is a 100% Herbal Extracts Only Formulation
comprised of the following botanicals that are considered safe for
human consumption by the regulatory authorities of the USA, Singapore,
and India: Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha), Asparagus Racemosus
(Shatavari), Tribulus Terrestris
(Tribulus), Pueraria Tuberosa (Indian Kudzu), Myristica Fragrans
(Nutmeg), Phyllanthus Emblica (Amla), Asparagus Adscendens, Zingiber
Officinale (Ginger), Piper Longum (Long Pepper), Anacyclus Pyrethrum
(Spanish Pellitory), and Vitex Negundo (Chinese Chaste Tree).
Warning: Please be aware of the
following.
- Kama Raja is
formulated for men only. Women should not take Kama Raja.
- Ashwagandha
- can stimulate the thyroid and should be taken with caution by people
with hyperthyroidism.
- Chinese Chaste
Tree - can diminish the absorption of paracetamol.
- Ginger -
might reduce your blood pressure and cause your
blood pressure to drop too low or cause an irregular heartbeat when
taken in conjunction with high blood pressure medications like
nifedipine, verapamil, isradipine, and others. Ginger should not be consumed by
pregnant women.
- Ginger and
Indian Kudzu
-
are
known to slow blood clotting. They can engender additive effects
with anticoagulant /
antipaltelet drugs like asprin, ibuprofen, naproxen, warfarin, and
others. They can
lower blood sugar. If you are already taking
diabetes
medications, monitor your blood sugar closely because your blood sugar
might go too low when Ginger and Indian Kudzu are taken in combination
with these
medications.
- India Kudzu -
might inhibit the effects of estrogen therapy (tamoxifen / nolvadex).
Theoretically, it might
interfere with tamoxifen because of its potential estrogenic effects.
Preclinical research suggests that Indian Kudzu extract greatly reduces
the elimination and increases the toxicity of methotrexate. It might
inhibit organic anion transporters (OATs) that are responsible for
hepatobiliary and renal excretion of anions, similar to the interaction
between methotrexate and NSAIDs.
- Long Pepper -
interacts with the
followng drugs: phenytoin / dilantin (speeds absorption and slows
elimination), propranolol / inderal (speeds and increases absorption),
and theophylline (increases absorption and serum concentrations).
- Long Pepper /
Tribulus - can
cause stomach upset
which can be countered by taking Kama Raja with food.
- Nutmeg -
Concomitant use may affect drugs metabolized by cytochrome P450
1A1(CYP1A1) enzyme system. Some of these drugs include
chlorzoxazone, theophylline, and bufuralol. It may also decrease
the therpeutic effects of phenobarbital.
- Shatavari and
Tribulus - can counteract hormonal imbalances in your body.
Use
caution if you are taking medications for hormonal imbalances or
undergoing hormone replacement therapy.
- Allergic
Reactions - while the botanicals in Kama Raja are considered
safe, there might be rare instances of allergic reaction. If you
experience any allergic reaction, please stop taking Kama Raja
immediately to determine if it is the cause of the allergic reaction.
